About Me

My name is Jeremy Carvell.

I have been a lawyer since 2006.

For about twelve years, I worked at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid.

Most of my work involved helping people with:

• Debt collection lawsuits

• Garnishments

• Consumer protection issues

• Other financial legal problems

I helped hundreds of Minnesotans deal with debt collectors and creditors.

That experience taught me something important:

There is rarely only one solution.

Sometimes a lawsuit can be defended.

Sometimes an exemption claim solves the problem.

Sometimes bankruptcy makes sense.

Sometimes it doesn't.

I believe people deserve clear explanations and practical advice before making those decisions.

That is what I try to provide.
